KESAH 2 JUTAWAN KEMBAR AZMAN DAN AZMI

Kita perlu celik labur dan tahu ilmu pelaburan. Kita perlu tahu kenapa unit amanah ini amat berharga dan amat bernilai. 

Saja saya mulakan dengan cerita-cerita, agar kita celik dan faham akan kepentingan unit amanah ini.. Ceritanya pasal "Jutawan Duit" dengan "Jutawan unit amanah".

Ilmu unit amanah: Kepentingan dan faedah menyimpan unit amanah kerana itu kita di sarankan agar celik dan faham akan unit amanah ini.

Ceritanya begini:

Pada tahun 2005, Azman dan Azmi masing-masing menerima bonus pencapaian terbaik sebanyak RM1juta seorang. Azman dan Azmi amat gembira sekali dan masing-masing mahu menyimpannya. Azman dan Azmi mempunyai cara tersendiri untuk menyimpannya. Azman memilih untuk menyimpan duit RM1juta nya di dalam bank manakala si Azmi pula membeli unit amanah dengan duitnya. Pada ketika itu dengan RM1juta Azmi dapat beli 1juta unit amanah dengan harga RM1 seunit.

Status tahun 2005:
1) Azman dengan RM1juta nya di dalam bank.
2) Azmi dengan 1juta unit amanah nye.


10 tahun berlalu iaitu memasuki tahun 2015.

Status tahun 2015:
1) Azman masih mempunyai RM1juta dan juga tambahan faedah simpanan dengan kadar 10% setahun selama 10 tahun sebanyak RM1juta juga. Total duit Azman adalah RM2juta. Amat gembira Azman.

2) Manakala si Azmi, beliau masih memiliki unit amanah dan jika di beri nilai ikut harga unit amanah sekarang RM2 seunit dan juga tambahan faedah unit percuma selama 10 tahun sebanyak 2juta unit jadi jumlah unit yang Azmi dapat ialah 3juta unit amanah.

Nilai dalam RM ialah RM2 x 3 juta unit = RM6juta. Banyak lagi duit Azmi nih...

Tahun 2005 - RM1juta boleh beli 1juta unit tetapi pada tahun 2015 RM1juta hanya dapat beli 500k unit sahaja dengan harga RM2 seunit.

Nampak tak NILAI unit amanah di sini ? Nampak tak SUSUT nya nilai wang kertas ?

Jika anda sudah faham ... tak payah fikir banyak dah, beli aje unit amanah dengan duit yang kita ada tu ... jika nak pakai duit ... Jualkan unit amanah pun boleh...


Yang penting mula simpan unit amanah dan mula tukarkan duit yg kita ada kepada unit amanah.

Pada tahun 2014, saya ada membuat satu tutorial tentang cara untuk install Telegram app di laptop. Sila klik di sini untuk baca. Ketika itu, penggunaan appTelegram masih belum meluas di Malaysia dan masih dibayangi aplikasi Whatsapp yang lebih popular.

Tutorial berkenaan secara ringkas menerangkan bagaimana untuk menggunakan Telegram di laptop untuk lebih memudahkan proses muat turun fail seperti office documents. Kini, untuk menggunakan Telegram di laptop menjadi lebih mudah kerana kita tidak perlu install apa-apa aplikasi pada laptop. Kita boleh gunakan Telegram versi web. Caranya ;

Buka internet browser (chrome. firefox) dan taipkan https://web.telegram.org di kotak alamat.

Kemudian,

1. Pilih Country dan masukkan nombor telefon

2. Klik Next

Telegram akan menghantar SMS mengandungi code ke telefon kita.

Baru-baru ini, saya telah menyediakan borang menggunakan Google Form untuk pendaftaran peserta kursus PLuG TMK Tahun 6. Untuk makluman anda yang tidak biasa dengan Google Form, maklumat/response yang diisi akan dimuatkan di dalam satu fail berformat Google Sheet yang fungsinya seakan MS Excel. Malah, kita boleh download fail tersebut dalam format Excel.

Setelah saya download dalam format Excel dan saya semak nama-nama peserta yang telah mengisi, saya dapati ada yang mengisi menggunakan huruf besar, ada pula yang mengisi menggunakan huruf kecil. Jadi, borang tersebut menjadi kurang cantik pada pandangan mata. Teringat kalau dalam MS Word, kita boleh menukar huruf kecil ke huruf besar menggunakan option pada ribbon font TETAPI tidak pada MS Excel. Dari situ, setelah berguru dengan pakcik Google :-) baharulah saya tahu bagaimana untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut.

Di sini saya kongsikan ilmu tersebut untuk manfaat kita bersama. Saya akan tunjukkan TIGA cara iaitu :

1) Bagaimana untuk menukar keseluruhan nama dari huruf kecil ke HURUF BESAR

Perhatikan nama Amiera Natasha Bt Norazizee di atas. Untuk menukar keseluruhan nama tersebut ke HURUF BESAR, klik pada mana-mana cell kosong dan taipkan =UPPER(cell reference)

Kemudian, tekan ENTER. Hasilnya...

2)  Bagaimana untuk menukar keseluruhan nama dari HURUF BESAR ke huruf kecil

Perhatikan nama AMIR IZZUDDIN BIN MD YAZID di atas. Untuk menukar keseluruhan nama tersebut ke huruf kecil, klik pada mana-mana cell kosong dan taipkan =LOWER(cell reference)

Kemudian, tekan ENTER. Hasilnya...

3)  Bagaimana untuk menukar nama dari semuanya HURUF BESAR ke huruf kecil tetapi huruf PERTAMA adalah HURUF BESAR 

Perhatikan nama AKMAL HAKIM BIN ABDULLAH di atas. Untuk menukar nama tersebut dari semuanya HURUF BESAR ke huruf kecil tetapi huruf PERTAMA adalah HURUF BESAR , klik pada mana-mana cell kosong dan taipkan =PROPER(cell reference)

Kemudian, tekan ENTER. Hasilnya...

7 Highlights from The Practical Ed Tech Handbook

In late August I published The Practical Ed Tech Handbook. Since it was published more than 6,000 people have downloaded it. If you haven't downloaded it, you can do so here. In the free document I outline seven categories of ed tech tools and share my favorite tools in each category. A preview of each section is outlined below.

1. Communication with students and parents. 
Remind, formerly known as Remind 101, is a great tool for sending important reminders to students and their parents. Through Remind students and their parents can sign-up to receive text messages on their mobile devices. You send the messages from your computer or mobile device without students or parents seeing your personal cell phone number. Like regular text messages that you might send to friends, you can attach files to messages that you send through Remind. Messages can be sent to individuals or to groups that you create in your Remind account.

In addition to text messages Remind offers the option to send audio messages up to fifteen seconds in length. Just like text messages, voice messages can be sent to individuals or to groups.

Stamps is one of the two options that Remind offers for students and parents to use to interact with the messages that you send to them. Students and parents can reply to your Remind messages by selecting one of four stamps to indicate that they have received your message and indicate if they need further clarification about your message.

Chat is the other option that Remind offers to students and parents to communicate with you. Remind Chat allows students and parents to reply with text to a teacher's messages. When I first heard about Remind Chat I was leery of it because I was concerned that students and parents would be messaging teachers at all hours of the day and expecting rapid responses. Remind alleviated that concern when I saw the "office hours" setting in the Remind chat service. "Office hours" allows teachers to specify when they will allow chat messages to be sent and received. Teachers can also pause or stop chat exchanges at any time.

2. Web search strategies. 
Remind students that not every question needs to be Googled. One of the bad habits that I see many students fall into when it comes to research is simply entering into Google the first thing that comes to mind. While this strategy can work, it often leads to a lot of time wasted on searches for information that students already have. Before embarking on a research project ask students to make a list of the things they already know about the topic they plan to research. Have them look in their notes to see if they already have information on the topic.

3. Digital citizenship. 
PBS Kids offers the Webonauts Academy in which elementary school students can learn about safe online behaviors. When students have completed all of the Webonauts missions they will graduate from the Webonauts Academy. The educators tips page offers some practical suggestions for using Webonauts in the classroom or in a school library.

Own Your Space is a free ebook designed to educate tweens and teens about protecting themselves and their stuff online. This ebook isn't a fluffy, general overview book. Each chapter goes into great detail explaining the technical threats that students' computers face online as well as the personal threats to data that students can face online. For example, in the first chapter students learn about different types of malware and the importance of installing security patches to prevent malware infections. The fourteenth chapter explains the differences between secured and unsecured wireless networks, the potential dangers of an unsecured network, and how to lock-down a network.

4. Video creation. 
Tellagami is an app for iPad and Android that is a lot of fun to use to create narrated animations. Tellagami allows you to create customized animated scenes in a matter of minutes. To create a narrated, animated scene simply open Tellagami and tap “create.” After opening the create menu you will see a default character and background scene. The characters can be altered by selecting from a big menu of customization options. The background scenes can be changed by selecting from a menu or by inserting a picture from your iPad or Android tablet’s camera roll. To add your voice to your animations simply tap “record” and start talking. Completed animations are stored on the camera roll of your iPad or tablet. Tellagami does not require students to create accounts or have an email address.

5. Audio recording and publishing. 
TwistedWave is an audio recording tool through which you can create and edit spoken audio recordings from scratch. Your completed tracks can be exported to Google Drive and SoundCloud. If you have existing audio tracks in your SoundCloud or Google Drive account you can also import it into TwistedWave to edit those audio tracks. TwistedWave's audio editing tools include options for fade-in, fade-out, looping, sound normalization, and pitch adjustments. The editor also includes the typical track clipping tools that you would expect to see in an audio editing tool. Watch a demonstration of TwistedWave at http://bitly.com/twistedwave

6. Backchannels & informal assessment. 
Formative provides you with a place to create online classrooms. Your students join your classroom by entering the assigned class code after registering on the Formative website. Once your classroom is established you can begin distributing assignments to students. Assignments can be as simple as one question exit tickets like "what did you learn today?" to complex quizzes that use a combination of multiple choice, short answer, and true/false questions. You can assign point values to questions or leave them as ungraded questions. You can also enable or disable instant feedback for students. When you give an assignment to students through Formative you can watch their responses in realtime. The best feature of Formative is the option to create "show your work" questions. "Show your work" questions enables students to draw responses and or upload pictures as responses to your questions. When you use this question type students will see a blank canvas directly below the question. On that canvas they can draw and or type responses.

7. Digital portfolios. 

Google Sites is a good platform on which students and teachers that have Google Apps for Education accounts can build digital portfolios. Page-level permissions in Google Sites allows the creator of a site to share and give editing access to specific pages within a site rather than giving access to edit the entire site. To use page-level permissions open your Google Site editor then click "enable page-level permissions." With page-level permissions activated you can share and allow editing for each page individually. A video tutorial on using page-level permissions can be found here. I have been an educator for almost thirty years, which means I have seen new teachers come and go. Some were never meant to be teachers. Teaching, to them, was supposed to be a cushy job with hours from 8-3 and weekends and summers off. Hello!? I am thankful that it didn't take these people twenty, ten, or even five years to figure out that teaching was not their calling.

THEN, in walks a new teacher! S/he is the real deal and brings an aura, a presence, a passion, a willingness, a direction, and a drive to reach and teach. The first three to five years will make or break this great educator.

It is our responsibility as the lions to help the cubs to mature and become masters! We can help to acclimate them, help them grow, be available when they stumble, encourage and support them, and share our valuable experiences and strategies with them--the positives more than the negatives, please and thank you.

We can champion them to their calling by acknowledging effort and offering words that soothe their souls after a long, tiring, seemingly unappreciated day. When the feeling of insecurity (as a new teacher) about whether or not they did all they could do weighs on their hearts. 

Though student teaching does help, it is not enough. The first-year teacher is hired for a specific position, given his/her own classroom (yay!), and overwhelmed with curriculum and "other assigned duties." They are asked to write lengthy lesson plans for every subject taught each day of the week, to keep student grades updated (which absolutely needs to be done), to sponsor clubs or organizations or classes, to contact parents and explain the reasons for little Johnny's failing class (which terrifies a new teacher), to go to meetings and conferences, to give state and district mandated tests! tests! tests! (so they can fret about their upcoming evaluation--no stress there), and attend an immense amount of professional development on top of it all. 

Lions & Tigers & Bears---for sure! It can be a zoo unless zookeepers show up to teach the teachers about teaching. 

Let us roll up our sleeves and support and encourage these new teachers.
Let us be a path of light when the alley looks long, dim, and dark.
Let us invigorate them when the days are long and tiring.
Let us share simple but effective tools, so as not to overwhelm the newbies anymore than necessary.
Let us remember that once we were first-year teachers.
Let us let give them space to teach with innovative ideas, with vigor and passion.
Let us guide them and teach them survival skills with the rigor a lioness teaches her cubs because she realizes that one day they will be on their own, without her.

If they fall and scratch their knees, so be it. They will walk again. We all learn from our failures, and they will learn skills they need to survive--skills not found in any textbook or on the internet--skills that only experience can offer.

Help them to remember the successes too--they are so very sweet. 

To those novice teachers:

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Teaching! There is no more rewarding profession. Our value is not monetarily based; it is worth much more, which you will come to understand (smiling). Let it be known that after 29.5 years, I would have had it no other way. Know that you will never be "just a teacher" in the young minds that you impress. 

Now, go forth and teach!

Panduan Menggredkan Markah Menggunakan Excel

1. Sediakan formula

Untuk A (80-100), A- (75-79), B+ (70-74), B (65-69), B- (60-64), C+ (55-59), C (50-54), C- (45-49), D+ (40-44), D (35 -39), dan E (34 ke bawah); gunakan formula berikut:
=LOOKUP(F2,{0,33.5,39.5,44.5,49.5,54.5,59.5,64.5,69.5,74.5,79.5},{"E","D","D+","C-","C","C-","B-","B","B+","A-","A"})

Untuk A (75-100), A- (70-74), B+ (65-69), B (60-64), B- (55-59), C+ (50-54), C (45-49), C- (34-44), D+ (23-33), D (12-22), dan E (0-11), gunakan formula berikut:

Untuk skema lain, boleh buat sendiri . F2 adalah lokasi untuk data pertama. Jika data pertama anda terletak di lokasi lain, sila ubah, misalnya kepada G2 dan sebagainya. Dalam data di atas, pelajar yang dapat 79.6 digredkan sebagai A atas andaian ianya dibundarkan kepada markah '80' jika dibuat secara manual.

2. Langkah-langkah untuk gredkan markah ialah seperti berikut (sila rujuk rajah di sebelah kiri):

Langkah 2: Letak kursor pada G2, copy formula LOOKUP (Rujuk Langkah 1) dan paste pada ruang fungsi (selepas X / fx), F2 ialah data pertama


Langkah 3: Selepas gred untuk data pertama dijanakan, anda akan dapati ada line berwarna biru (empat segi), tekan sudut bawah kanan kotak tersebut dan seretkan cursor hingga ke penghujung senarai di bawah.

Gred-gred seterusnya dijanakan secara automatik, hanya sekali klik.
